The Building 2 performance piece questions the invisible power structures position between the working class and established elite.During the 24th to the 30th October 2022, twenty thousand bricks were laid on the red carpet of the Royal Theater Carré in Amsterdam as part of the “No Intermission” exhibition, as a proposal by artist Maria Stamenković Herranz. The artist, removing herself as the sole creator of the work, invited the visitors to participate. Without any clear indication about the plan of building, the visitors were invited to find their own way to interact with the work.
